Captain Knick Knack

In Captain Knick Knack, you take on the role of the eponymous captain, who seems to fly through the sky in the form of what appears to be a giant set of robotic genitals! At the start of the game, the captain is a large, slow sprite, but his movements and the extent of his firepower can be improved by collecting the various bonuses left behind by destroyed enemies. He is also equipped with 3 shields per life. These shields give you 15 precious seconds of invulnerability while the Captain retreats into his shell and can destroy enemies (and damage bosses) simply by touching them.
