Lords of Thunder

In the land of Mistral, the Garuda Empire and its six Dark Generals plan to resurrect the evil god Deoric. Duran, descendant of the knight Drak who once sealed Deoric away, sets out to stop them using Drak's mystical armors. Players can tackle the six continents in any order, each guarded by a Dark General and filled with demons. Before each stage, one of four elemental armors can be chosen, each with unique attacks that can be powered up with jewels. Crystals dropped by enemies can be spent between levels on health, bombs, and continues. After clearing all six continents, the final battle against Sornbul awaits.
