Run and Gun
Shooter
Ranked #35 in crowd-sourced ranking of 100 best SNES games (200,000+ player ratings from Uproxx). Described as a cross between Contra and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV. Excellent co-op gameplay and character variety. Konami's Sunset Riders for the SNES remains one of the better video game takes on the Old West. The Super Nintendo was a brilliant home for arcade conversions...few conversions have ever been as good as Sunset Riders.
TMNT IV - Turtles in Time
SNES
Still one of the finest co-op beat 'em ups of all time and one of the most authentic Ninja Turtles games ever made. Action RPG
RPG
Called easily one of the best RPGs to come out of the 16-bit era by Nintendo Life. Originally planned as Secret of Mana 2 but localization costs prevented Western release at the time. At release, felt absolutely criminal that this game wasn't being localized and truly stood toe-to-toe with other titans of the genre from that time, such as Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger. Recently re-evaluated as a system-seller that deserved localization.

Introduced character distinction through classes. Features active-time-battle system adding tension to turn-based combat. Sold over 4 million copies. Some consider it the only game in the series to balance difficulty right.

An amazing game with some rough edges. While not perfect, established the series and showed Capcom's RPG ambitions alongside their action titles.
SNES
RPG
Japan's most popular role playing franchise made huge waves when it finally hit the Super Famicom. First Dragon Quest not released in English at the time. Took a slightly different route...focusing on weaving a tighter narrative and using a generation system to tell a story over the course of a long period of time. Dragon Quest has never achieved Western popularity equivalent to Final Fantasy but represents important SNES JRPG library diversity.
