The Watara Supervision was a monochrome handheld game console released in 1992 by the Taiwanese company Watara. It was marketed as a budget alternative to the Nintendo Game Boy, priced at $49.95 compared to the Game Boy's $89.99. Despite technical improvements over the Game Boy and an affordable price point, the system struggled due to a limited library of approximately 65-70 games and criticism that its software was overly simplistic compared to competitors.
